Healthy means providing the right balance of carbohydrates, minerals, oils, fruits and vegetables and – if desired – high-quality meat. Sugar, high grain content, waste and meat trimmings, artificial flavorings and preservatives should be avoided at all costs. It is important to have a balance of different foods, and this can be achieved with and without meat. Vegan or vegetarian dog food or simply a regular meat-free day are in vogue. Although dogs can digest meat well, they don’t necessarily need it. We want to provide our four-legged friends with the healthy supplement they need.
